Vale eyes Middle East iron ore ‘mega hubs’

Brazilian miner Vale has inked two more memorandums of understanding in the Gulf Cooperation Council, to produce hot-briquetted iron using natural gas. The MoUs coincide with Vale’s agreement made with Saudi Arabia's National Industrial Development Center (NIDC) to set up a pelletising plant (see Kallanish passim).
