USW threatens work stoppage at ArcelorMittal
The United Steelworkers labour union has reached another impasse with ArcelorMittal, one that may force the union to declare a strike, according to a member update seen by Kallanish.
Union members at ArcelorMittal facilities have been working under the terms of their previous contracts since their expiration 1 September. ArcelorMittal is still demanding concessions, the union says, which are “... unfair and unnecessary.”
