Fire crews were sent to an incident at the main plant boiler at US Steel’s Great Lakes Works in Ecorse, Michigan, on Wednesday. Two employees were treated with minor injuries.
It is unclear if production athe mill was affected by the incident. The steelmaking portion of Great Lakes has been idled since 2020 but the finishing operations remain active.
