US sheet prices resist mill increases
Nucor and Cleveland-Cliffs each issued increases in hot rolled coil prices in the preceding weeks, but neither policy has significantly impacted the price of sheet, learns Kallanish.
Hot rolled coil is priced at $790-$800/short ton and cold rolled coil at $1,190-1,200/st. In the week through 2 September, Kallanish listed prices at $825-895/st and $1,250-1,350/st, respectively. All prices are ex-works domestic mill.
