US rigs stay flat, Canada up 3
The US rig count remained unchanged last week while the Canadian count posted a slight gain, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count held steady at 251, still down 691 from last year.
Rigs geared for oil fell by one, but that was offset by a gain of one rig geared for natural gas.
New Mexico lost two rigs and Louisiana lost one, while Texas, Oklahoma, and North Dakota each gained one rig.
