US rigs stay flat, Canada down 4
The US rig count remained unchanged in the week ended 19 February, while the Canadian count posted a slight decline, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count remained flat at 397, down 394 from last year. Blistering winter weather in much of the South and Midwest accounted for slow movement throughout the oilfield, both in terms of volume and pricing (see related story).
