US rigs stay flat, Canada up 15
The US rig count remained unchanged in the week ended 13 December, while the Canadian count posted a double-digit increase, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count remained at 799 active rigs, down 272 from the equivalent count last year.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by four, and that was offset by a loss of four rigs geared for natural gas production.
