US rigs rise by 7, Canada down 2
The US rig count continued to rise in the week ended 16 April, while the Canadian count posted a small decline, Kallanish reports.
The US rig count increased by seven net rigs to 439, down 90 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production increased by seven, and rigs geared for natural gas production increased by one. The US lost one rig classified as miscellaneous.
