US rigs rise by 6, Canada up 7
Both the US and Canadian rig counts increased on-week in the week ended 25 September, Kallanish understands from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count rose by six net rigs to 261, still down 599 from last year.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by four, while rigs geared for natural gas production rose by two.
Texas led the notable net gains by state with seven, while New Mexico led the net losses with two.
