US rigs rise by 6, Canada down 11
The US rig count increased again in the week ended 26 March, while the Canadian count posted double-digit losses, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count rose by six net rigs to 417, down 311 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
All new net rigs in the US were geared for oil production. Texas led the net gains by state with three, while Louisiana posted the lone net loss of one.
