US rigs rise by 5, Canada up 16
Both the US and Canadian rig counts increased in the week ended 11 June, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by five net rigs to 461, up 182 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production increased by six, while rigs geared for natural gas production decreased by one.
