US rigs rise by 2, Canada down 4
The US rig count continued to climb in the week ended 30 April, while the Canadian count retreated slightly, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by two net rigs to 442, up 32 from the equivalent week last year.
Rigs geared for oil fell by one, while rigs geared for natural gas rose by two. The US also gained a rig classified as miscellaneous.
