US rigs rise by 2, Canada down 2
The US and Canadian rig counts moved in equal but opposite directions in the week ended 4 September, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count rose by two net rigs to 256, down 642 from the equivalent week last year.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by one, as did rigs classified as miscellaneous. There was no net change in the number of rigs geared for natural gas production.
