US rigs rise by 2, Canada down 11
The US rig count rose slightly while the Canadian rig count fell during the week ending 9 April, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by two net rigs to 432, down 170 from the equivalent weekly count in 2020.
US rigs geared for oil production increased by two. Meanwhile, oil rigs geared for natural gas and miscellaneous rigs experienced no weekly change.
