US rigs rise by 13, Canada up 44
Both the US and Canadian rig counts increased by double-digits in the week ended 15 January, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by 13 net rigs to 373, down 423 from the equivalent weekly count in 2020.
Rigs geared for oil increased by 12, while rigs geared for natural gas increased by one.
Texas led the notable net gains by state with eight, while Pennsylvania led the losses with two.
