US rigs rise by 13, Canada down 12
The US and Canadian rig counts moved in nearly equal but opposite directions in the week ended 1 April, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by 13 net rigs to 430, down 234 from the equivalent weekly count in 2020.
Rigs geared for oil production increased by 13. The US lost one rig geared for natural gas production, but gained an additional rig classified as miscellaneous.
