US rigs rise by 1, Canada down 22
The US rig count posted a minor increase in the week ended 5 March, while the Canadian count took a double-digit plunge, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by one net rig to 403, still down 390 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
The US gained one net rig geared for oil production, while the number of rigs geared for natural gas production remained unchanged.
