US rigs increase by 6, Canada down 9
The US rig count ticked up in the week ended 10 September while the Canadian count retreated, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by six net rigs to 503, up 249 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by seven and rigs geared for natural gas production fell by one.
