US rigs increase by 4, Canada up 1
Both the US and Canadian rig counts increased in the week ended 9 July, Kallanish learns from energy services firm Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by four net rigs to 479, up 221 from last year.
Both rigs geared for oil and rigs geared for natural gas increased by two.
Texas led the notable net increases with two, while Colorado and Pennsylvania posted the lone by-state decreases with one apiece.
