US rigs fall by 64, Canada down 13

Both the US and Canadian rig counts posted double-digit decreases in the week ended 3 April, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.  The US count declined by 64 to 664, down 361 from the equivalent count last year.  Rigs geared for oil production fell by 62, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by two.  Texas led the notable losses by state with 30, followed by Oklahoma with 10.
