US rigs fall by 5, Canada up 6
The US and Canadian rig counts moved in nearly equal but opposite directions in the week ended 17 July, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by five net rigs to 253, down 701 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by one, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by four.
