US rigs fall by 5, Canada rises by 8
The US rig count continued to sink in the week ended 10 July, while the Canadian count received a small boost, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by five net rigs to 258, down 700 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by four, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by one.
