US rigs fall by 3, Canada up 7
The US rig count ticked down in the week ended 14 August, while the Canadian count posted a minor gain, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US count fell by three net rigs to 244, down 691 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by three, while rigs geared for natural gas production rose by one.
