US rigs fall by 2, Canada unchanged
The US rig count posted a minor decrease in the week ended 24 January, while the Canadian rig count remained unchanged, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by two net rigs to 794, down 265 from the equivalent count last year.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by three, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by five.
