US rigs fall by 5, Canada down 2
Both the US and Canadian rig counts dipped slightly in the week ended 8 November, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by five net rigs to 817, down 264 from last year’s count.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by seven, while rigs classified as miscellaneous rose by two. There was no net change in the number of rigs geared for natural gas production.
