US rigs decrease by three, Canada regains five
The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US dropped by three in the week ended 12 April, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes. Canada's total increased by five week-on-week.
The US rig count fell to 617 from 620 the previous week. Of the total, 506 are oil rigs, 109 are gas rigs, and two are miscellaneous rigs.
