US rebar pricing remains flat through mid-May
Sentiment among US rebar market participants remains weak through mid-May as domestic scrap prices settled lower during this month's trading period.
Kallanish notes that scrap prices fell across all grades during May trading, with shredded scrap prices down $40-50/gross ton, prime grade scrap decreasing by $30-40/gt, and cut grade scrap declining by $30-40/gt.
