US rebar prices remain flat despite uncertainty
US rebar prices continue to hold steady despite growing uncertainty in the market caused by the spread of Covid-19 and its impact on trade, Kallanish reports.
A Northeast distributor has confirmed with Kallanish that "...US rebar prices remain the same" on-week, though he adds that rapid change due to Covid-19 is possible in the near-term.
Kallanish maintained its previously assessed price Tuesday for #4 product in 20-foot sticks at $590-600/short ton. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
This assessment marks one month of stagnated rebar prices, following a slight increase of $10/short ton in late February.
