US raw steel production takes a dip

The American Iron and Steel Institute notes a 3.1% decrease in US raw steel production for the week ended on 7 May, compared to the same week of 2021, as monitored by Kallanish. US raw steel production came in at 1.77 million short tons, with the capability utilization rate of 81.4%. Overall production for the week was up 0.1% from the week ended 30 April.
