US raw production decreases 0.6% on-week
US raw steel production fell on-year and on-week in the week ended 4 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Production reached 1.664 million short tons during the week with a capability utilisation of 74.4%, down 0.6% from the previous week, when utilisation was 74%, and down 3.8% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.6%.
