US plate prices begin to move higher
With raw material pricing moving up fast, plate prices have begun to increase in the US market.
Several US plate producers including Nucor and Cleveland Cliffs announced $40/short ton base price increases over the past week. SSAB Americas implemented a scrap surcharge last week that it said this week will increase pricing by $63/st beginning with April orders.
