US plate price holds, Nucor adjustment anticipated
US plate prices held this week at $1,500-1,540/short ton amid discussions that prices will either “go sideways or make a slight increase,” Kallanish learns.
“Nucor has a price announcement today. Brandenburg is looking at June, possibly July to begin any consistent production. Still working on issues like flattening and technical issues. No imports to speak of or large projects,” a distributor shares.
