US pipe, tube imports fall in January
According to the International Trade Administration’s Steel Import Monitoring tool, total pipe and tube imports in January decreased to 536,945 short tons from December’s 566,448 st, learns Kallanish.
OCTG products decreased to 287,346 st in January from 297,585 st in December. Structural tube and pipe decreased to 31,479 st from 33,195 st, line pipe imports decreased to 32,898 st from 42,553st, and pipe for piling decreased from 1,007 st to 488 st.
