US OCTG prices decrease in tandem with scrap
Prices for P110 5.5-inch representative OCTG product range have dropped to $2,780-2,850/short ton, from $2,850-2,900/st, Kallanish understands.
“Replacement costs will be coming down. The problem is that distributors have higher cost inventories, which slow the transaction price adjustment. Pipe prices have softened 5-15% over the last 60 days. Some line items less, some items even more,” explains a distributor from the Southwest.
