US mill shipments slightly improve in November
US steel mill shipments ticked up slightly from October to November, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Shipments increased by 0.1% on-month to 6.75 million short tons in November. That’s still down -11.9% from November 2019.
On-month, cold-rolled sheet shipments increased by 4%, while hot-rolled sheet shipments held steady and hot-dipped galvanized sheet shipments fell by -2%.
Through November, US mills shipped a combined 73.95m st, down -15.61% on-year.
