US mill shipments show on-year rises
Shipments from US steel mills declined from January to February but were up compared to the same month last year, according to American Iron and Steel Institute data reviewed by Kallanish.
US mill shipments totaled more than 7.23 million short tons in February. This was a 6.8% decline from January but a 7.4% rise from February 2021 shipments of more than 6.75m st.
