US mill shipments rise in December
US steel mill shipments climbed in December, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US mill shipments reached about 7.05 million short tons in December, up 4.4% from November but down -12.1% from December 2019.
On-month, hot-rolled sheet shipments grew by 3%. Cold-rolled sheet shipments fell by -3%, and hot-dipped galvanized shipments rose by 2%.
Full-year shipments reached 81m st, down -15.8% from full-year 2019.
