US, Canadian rigs rise by 5
Both the US and Canadian rig counts appear to have increased in the week ended 12 February, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count increased by five net rigs to 397, down 393 from the equivalent week last year.
Rigs geared for oil production rose by seven, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by two.
Texas led the notable gains by state with four, while Oklahoma posted the lone loss of one.
