US, Canadian rigs both fall by 44
Both the US and Canadian rig counts registered stiff double-digit drops in the week ended 27 March, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US count dropped by 44 net rigs to 728, down 278 from last year’s equivalent weekly count.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by 34, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by 10.
