US, Canada rig counts inch up
The weekly North American rig count maintained by energy services firm Baker Hughes ticked up by four net rigs during the week ended 4 February.
In the US, three net rigs were added to the country’s count – two oil rigs and one gas rig. This brings the total to 613 for the week – 221 more rigs than were operating during the same week in 2021.
