Ukrainian steel production continues to fall amid war
Ukrainian steel companies reduced production in January-May due to the Russian invasion of the country, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom.
Crude steel output amounted to 4.24 million tonnes, down by 47.2% on-year, Kallanish notes. The output of pig iron decreased by 46.7% to 4.15mt and rolled products were down 47.3% to 3.79mt.
