Ukraine’s September steel output declines after summer rises
Ukrainian steel companies reduced production in January-September due to the Russian-Ukrainian war and logistical problems, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom.
Nine-month crude steel output amounted to 5.53 million tonnes, down by 66.1% on-year, Kallanish notes. Output of pig iron decreased by 66% to 5.46mt and rolled products were down 67.3% to 4.73mt.
