Ukraine’s flats exports increase in May, longs fall
Ukraine decreased flat steel exports in May compared with the previous month, according to national customs data.
Total volume delivered amounted to 144,100 tonnes, up by 27.5% month-on-month and 23.7% more than May 2023, Kallanish notes. In monetary terms, flats exports increased 24.3% on-month and 5.2% year-on-year to $93.63 million.
In January-May, flats exports doubled on-year to 676,520t. Revenue increased 96.8% y-o-y to $421m.
