UK manufacturing activity steadies in January
The UK manufacturing sector saw new orders, employment and business confidence rise in January according to the latest IHS Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply survey monitored by Kallanish. New export orders fell for third consecutive month however as sectoral activity steadied and remained in the ‘no-change’ zone.
