UAW promises rolling strikes as labour contracts expire
The United Auto Workers (UAW) are prepared to begin a wave of targeted labour strikes against the three largest US automakers as early as Friday morning.
Union contracts at General Motors, Ford and Stellantis were scheduled to expire on Thursday night. With no new labour agreements in hand by evening, and the sides seeming to be far apart, immediate walkouts are the next step, UAW president Shawn Fein promises.
