UAE's secondary suppliers struggle with rebar sales
Many rebar suppliers in the United Arab Emirates other than the benchmark mill, Emirates Steel, are struggling to sell material for April deliveries.
Rebar traders are asking secondary mills in UAE and Omani suppliers for significant discounts to settle rebar deals at AED 2,250-2,300/tonne ($613-626) on credit. Mills have refused to go below AED 2,300/t on cash and AED 2,320-2,340/t on LC 90 days and delivered basis for April delieries, notes Kallanish.
