UAE rebar traders observe price drop on weather
United Arab Emirates rebar sales remain low due to rainy weather, which is expected to continue until Wednesday, resulting in retail tags dropping AED 25-35/tonne ($7-10) versus the week before the Eid holiday.
The retail price differential between the benchmark mill and secondary mills has narrowed to AED 90-100/t. However, the wholesale price differential – mills' rebar price to traders – is at over AED 400/t, notes Kallanish.
