UAE rebar sales low but non-ESI volumes increase
In United Arab Emirates, rebar sales in the secondary market are shifting from Emirates Steel (ESI)'s rebar to low-tagged non-ESI material. Amid subdued demand, the price gap between non-ESI and ESI materials has widened to more than AED 100-125/tonne ($27.2-34.3) for mill prices and to AED 100/t for retail prices.
