This week in United Arab Emirates, merchant billet producers are withholding offers and waiting for local re-rollers' April-delivery rebar prices to surface. This will give them an indication of workable billet quotes.
However, billet suppliers are targeting not below $610-620/tonne ex-works for April, as the benchmark mill's rebar price increment by $35/t announced last Friday means secondary mills will follow suit, Kallanish notes.
