New typhoon suspends Posco's Pohang plant recovery
Post-typhoon recovery work at South Korean steelmaker Posco’s Pohang plant has been suspended due to the threat from another super typhoon, Nanmadol, which battered Japan on Monday.
Posco's employees have taken protective measures for the plant's waterways and electric system since 18 September, and had planned to suspend work from 19 September. The company has not yet announced a schedule to restart work.
